Ph.D. is a purely research based programme, as per the UGC guidelines, it cannot be done in distance leaning mode. A course work with specific regular duration is must have. However, there is a provision of pursuing it in part time mode in LPU. Moreover, LPU offers flexible coursework options-
1) Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only)
2) 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun)
3)15 days course work (November/December)
The eligibility for Ph.D. Management programme is:-
Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to clearing LPU NEST and Interview. If you are UGC/NET qualified then you are exempted from LPU NEST but to avail the maximum scholarship it is advisable to appear in LPU NEST.

MBA in Hospital Management deals with study of managerial duties within a health care organisation whereas MBA in Hospitality Management is all about the administrative duties in a Hotel, restaurant or related work place. Hospitality management is a service sector, to provide services to patrons who arrive at such facility viz hotels, clubs, tourism spots, delegate handling, corporate offices and many related houses, and ;apart from a degree, passion to serve and organize is needed in case the employer is private and not government. Hospital management is something like a management with administration of a respective hospital, with respect to, but not limited, floor management, medicine and pharmacy handling, supplier management, hostels and residences regulations and many other related subsidiaries of any hospital. Most of the time these areas have managers of their own and not just one. Any degree would do if you aspire to aim at hospital administration, however they prefer it should be managerial course.
