Students who are pursuing the BSc at MMU Solan can avail merit scholarships and other financial assistance on merit-cum-means basis. The merit scholarships are provided to the academic toppers from each of the districts of Himachal Pradesh and students coming from other states.

IHM Shimla offers a two-year MSc Hospitality Administration course spread across four semesters. The course is offered jointly by NCHMCT and IGNOU. Admission to MSc course is based on NCHMCT MSc JEE score. Aspirants who have completed graduation can apply for IHM Shimla MSc programme.

The total tuition fee for IHM Shimla MSc course is INR 1.90 lakh. Besides, aspirants also need to pay a one-time fee of INR 19,915 for MSc. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Aspirants need to pass BSc in Hospitality Administration to apply for IHM Shimla MSc programme. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. The institute selects candidates for MSc course based on NCHMCT MSc JEE score. 

IHM Shimla offers seats in BSc programme based on NCHMCT JEE score. National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national-level hospitality entrance exam for admission to BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration). Selected candidates are required to register for NCHMCT JEE Counselling for BSc. Candidates are also required to bring the specified documents for verification. 

IHM Shimla specifies the minimum requirement to apply for BSc programme. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects can apply for BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The upper age limit is 22 years for General and OBC Categories whereas, the upper age limit is 25 years for SC/ ST candidates.

IHM Shimla specifies course-wise eligibility criteria. Candidates need to meet the age and academic requirement to apply for any of the UG or PG courses. Below is IHM Shimla course-wise eligibility criteria:

IHM Shimla offers four courses at UG, PG and Diploma levels. The institute offers BSc, MSc, Diploma in Food Production and Diploma in Food and Beverage Service. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for BSc and Diploma courses. Graduation is required to apply for PG programmes.

IHM Shimla has not specified the minimum marks to apply for admission to Diploma in Food Production. However, candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements as mentioned below:

• Pass Class 12 with English as a compulsory subject
• For General/ OBC and Physically Challenged/ Handicapped Category age of applicant should not be more than 25 years. For SC and ST Category age of the applicant should not be more than 28 years.
