Career options for students who have finished their graduation in history are quite high. They can go for advanced studies or get jobs. Those who would like to pursue their studies can go for Master's degree in the same field. Students can also appear for the UPSC or the state wide PSC tests. They can also appear for the SSC tests. Those who like the teaching profession can get the B.Ed (after BA) or M.Ed (after MA) degree and apply for teacher or lecturer positions. Many other job options are available too. A few include:

MA in any subject is allowed after some knowledge of that subject. In fact, MA is studying done finer aspects in detail of what we study broadly in graduation. Hence, you will have to do BA in history first before you can pursue MA.

B.Ed course have 3 branches including Arts, Commerce and science and you can choose subject as per your graduation and post-graduation background. Further, you can teach subject in school accordingly.
