For taking up home science as a subject at B.Sc level, a student needs to pass the 10+2 exam preferably with science subjects (physics, chemistry, biology) and at least 50% marks and aualification of a relevant entrance test in the case of some institutes.

The candidate should complete their 12th or intermediate examination or an equivalent examination with any two biology / Natural Science, Physical sciences, Agricultural sciences and vocational course in Home Science.

Yes, you will get into Lady Irwin.
It offers the following courses:
1. B.Sc Home Science (Pass)
2. B.Sc Home Science (Hons)
3. B.Sc Food Technology
You can get into your dream course with any stream. Science is not a compulsion. Also, marks of Fine Arts, Music, Dance and Physical Education won't be considered in the best four.
