No, you can not get direct admission to Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology for BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology). In this college, admission is based on merit in entrance exam called MAH BHMCT CET  (Maharashtra Bachelor of Hotel Management common Entrance Test). Actually, this college management did not have any right in admissions. The admission to the all courses in this is carried out by an independent government agency called State Common Entrance Test Cell. So, there is no direct admissions in this college.

Yes, you can enrol in SIHM Durgapur's B.Sc. Hospitality & Hotel Administration programme without taking the NCHMCT JEE. SIHM Durgapur predominantly employs its own entrance test, the Hospitality Management Admission Test (HMAT), for admission to this programme. While NCHMCT JEE is a common admission exam for several hospitality institutes across India, SIHM Durgapur conducts its own test to evaluate students. It is always a good idea to check the current admission requirements with SIHM Durgapur to ensure you meet all of them.

SIHM Durgapur normally accepts results from the Hospitality Management Admission Test (HMAT) for admission to the B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration program. They may also consider scores from other relevant entry tests, such as the National Council for Hotel Management Joint entry Examination (NCHM JEE), but the primary focus is usually on their own entrance exam.

Yes, having a BSc in Hotel Management doesn't necessarily restrict someone from pursuing studies in Food and Nutrition courses. In fact, the skills and knowledge gained in hotel management, especially in areas like food preparation, hygiene, and Culinary Arts, can complement studies in Food and Nutrition quite well.

Many institutions offering Food and Nutrition courses might consider candidates from diverse educational backgrounds, including hotel management, provided certain prerequisites or additional courses are completed to fulfill their admission criteria.
