Essential Food Safety and Hygiene Practices are Compulsory for the Students of Hotel Management and every student must keep this In mind. However, Sikh students are exempted with some guidelines. Here I have provided undermentioned links of IHM Gurdaspur and Kashmir. Please go through these links to understand the dress codes. Dress codes of almost all IHMs are same with little differences:

Diploma in Hotel Management is a full-time UG diploma.
Duration- 1 year
Total Fee- INR 26,000 (fees components: tuition, practical).
Eligibility- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
Admission Process- Interested candidates can apply directly to the college.

It seems difficult to get admission in this college as per last year's cut-off.
But you should be positive and if you get admission in some other hotel management college, take it and work passionately for your dream career in the hotel industry.
