The eligibility for Bachelors in hotel management is

Duration: 4 years*. Citizenship: Indian nationals. Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with at least 45% marks. In any stream.
Diploma in hotel management.
Admission Process:
Most of the institutes offering the course admit students based on performance in a relevant entrance test, often followed by a round of personal interview, wherein their general aptitude for the course is tested. Admission process generally varies across colleges. A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidates performance at the 10+2 level. Some of such entrance tests conducted in India are:

JET Entrance Exam.

Hi, In Oberoi STEP, students have to work in Oberoi hotels during their course and they give IGNOU Exam every semester. Step is more of a practical programme where the students learn by working in the industry and not in classroom. On the other hand, IHM Pusa offers full time B.Sc Hotel management where there is classroom teaching and industrial training involved. In my opinion, IHM Pusa is much better than Oberoi STEP. It's a college where apart from your studies you can get involved in extra curricular activities etc. which will help in your overall development. A point to note that Oberoi visits IHM Pusa and other IHMs for placements so there is not much advantage given to Step candidates during final placements.
