Bachelor of Hotel Management and catering technology is only approved course as per AICTE and UGC norms which have to be 4 years technical course. There are people selling degree on the name of Bachelor degree in Hospitality are in plenty making fool of students as the degree may not be honored in any Government job or foreign education or placement purpose. It is only accepted by private hotels or companies when it comes to offering jobs.

An IHM student needs to do an internship for a whole semester in 2nd year. The internship provides the student an opportunity to understand the industry from very basic level and it is also a cornerstone in determining the area of interest of a student.
