Well, first of all, other IHMs are government institutes. Their fees are usually subsidized. IHM-A is a private institution, which is affiliated with the Taj Group and the University of Huddersfield. With a certain number of credits and requisite amount of internship experience, you can continue your course in the UK. It is AICTE approved. Hotel Management is usually a 3 year course, IHM-A has a 4 year format. IHM-A also has a beautiful campus with fairly advanced facilities.

It would be difficult for you to get into a government college. But, you can get into a private IHM without reservation under NCHMCT.

If you compare academics, infrastructure, placements these institutions are good enough to provide a competitive atmosphere. But, Bhopal would be a better overall package.

These are 2 extremely contrasting streams. However, if these 2 are your options - you need to decide if you enjoying studying more or you would prefer doing more practical work - like food preparation, cooking, food service, bartending etc. Very broadly, Hotel Management studies are slightly easier, but then there is a lot of practicals here too along with Industry training and extremely long hours at work.
