There is nothing any special prerequisites as such for HR Analytics. And you are from HR background itself you will surely get the competitive advantage over it. The basic skills like (Data Analytics, Employees Attraction Analysis, Pay optimisation techniques, etc. are some of the fundamental knowledge that a typical HR requires and perform as a daily task. Additionally, you should have good command over statistics and excel also (since you want to be HR Analyst, probably you know why I am saying this!). It is not compulsory but after MBA, tour chances will increase for HR. Without MBA, you have to struggle very much. Therefore, I suggest you to pursue MBA.

You have a chance to get in, but do good in XAT entrance and GDPI. So start preparing for XAT, self practice and

Both the courses are good. MSW gives more exposure on the development sector side whereas MBA (HR) gives exposure more on the corporate side. Thus, keeping in mind your long term career goals as to in which sector you want to work you need to decide on the course.
