No, there is no such book specifically on MBA in HR. For this, you need to join MBA, because the insights of HR is only known by experienced people who have already worked. But, if you want to gain knowledge about HR, then you can take book of Strategic Human Resource Management by oxford university.

Hello!
All the reputed colleges for MBA in HR admit students only on merit basis and not by any other means. Apart from CAT and SNAP, you can also give XAT and TISSNET for XLRI Jamshedpur and TISS Mumbai respectively.

Hi Manali, I personally think that distance mode is only good for getting a certificate. Classroom mode is more effective and efficient but if you are going for it I would suggest you to think about the college you are choosing, make sure it has a good placement record and a brand image.

Salary and growth opportunities are more in marketing, but also one piece of advice is that it depends from where you have done MBA. Likewise there are various institutions that provide management degree in above mentioned specializations and still give same or less like decent placements as:
TISS, IRMA, XLRI for HR, NIBM, NL DALMIA for Finance. So, choose specializations that you are more likely interested in, and which type of college you want. Good luck.
