Yes, you can go for Ph.D after completing MBA. You must have good project work in your kitty to get admission for Ph.D from any top institute. You can publish your work on national and international journals to improve your profile.

IFMR is one of the best premier B-schools in India. It has been holding a 100% placement since inception. The average salary as on Dec 31, 2016 for the 2017 batch is Rs.9 LPA.

Let me comment on IMT Hyderabad. IMT Hyderabad is the youngest member of IMT group, strategically placed in a city which is booming both in terms of IT, marketing and finance. Location is a very big advantage, it is just 30 minutes away from the main city and just 10 minutes away from the international airport. Now lets come down to academia, we have the best of faculties - 80% being PhD in their field of study and 70% of them coming from all the top notch MBA colleges with atleast 7-10 years of industry experience. IBS H is better, but be aware of the large no. of intake - read around 1000 - as it causes problem in good placements.

I would suggest you to avoid IBS - Hyderabad as it has a very high student intake, which inflates the placements quoted on the website. The placements are not very good. You can expect around Rs.6 LPA. The student intake is 1100 and fees is around Rs.16.5 lakhs with hostel.

BIMTECH, Noida would be a better choice as it has better placement record. BIMTECH is a good brand name. Avoid IBS B-schools as they have a very high student intake which creates a problem during the placements.

There is no comparison between IMT - Hyderabad and IBS – Hyderabad. IMT - Hyderabad has great brand value. The faculty learning experience at IMT is at par. For the batch 2014-16, the highest CTC at IMT Hyderabad was Rs.21 LPA and IBS – Hyderabad, highest CTC was Rs.11.5 LPA.
Fees structure:
1. For IBS – Hyderabad, it is around Rs.13.7 lakhs.
2. For IMT – Hyderabad, it is around Rs.12 lakhs.
