The University of Arizona (UA) accepts IELTS scores as a demonstration of English proficiency for international applicants. 

Minimum Score Requirement: Applicants need a minimum composite score of 7, with no individual section score falling below 6.

Accepted IELTS Exams: The UA recognizes the IELTS Academic, IELTS Online, and IELTS UKVI exams. Please be aware that the IELTS One Skill Retake is not accepted at this time.

An IELTS score 8.5 is generally considered to be very god and equals 89-90 marks on the PTE test. However, the official sources clearly warns against using these alignments for official or application purposes as the scores may vary due to several different reasons as measurement error.
