It is unlikely that you will get admission to an IIIT or NIT with a rank of 27820 in the SC category. The cutoffs for these institutes are very high, and your rank is on the lower side. However, there are a few things you can do to improve your chances of getting admission:
* Consider applying to new IIITs and GFTIs. These institutes are not as well-known as the older IIITs and NITs, but they offer a good quality of education. The cutoffs for these institutes are also lower than for the older institutes.
* Consider applying to state-level institutes. Many states have their own engineering institutes, and the cutoffs for these institutes

IIIT Surat has its own campus at Kholvad Surat. Earlier, IIIT Surat campus was in the premises of the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology campus. IIIT Surat campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The institute has a well-stocked library with a capacity of 90 students. The institute has classrooms and labs, as well. The hostels are quite far away from the college. There are separate boys and girls hostels. The hostels have a mess facility as well.
