Hi, just want to let you know that 78 percentile is actually not bad for AJEE rank. You will manage to secure a seat in an engineering college (probably not CS or IT) but in another stream for sure.

The National Testing Agency NTA conducts the Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main to shortlist candidates for admission into premier institutes like NITs, IIITs, and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs). Recently, the JEE Main Cutoff 2022 was released, which is usually of two types: the qualifying cutoff and the admission cutoff. The admission cutoff for JEE Main will be the opening and closing ranks for each institute and will be released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, which also takes into consideration your category. Although you have made it to the next round but that doesn't change the fact that your percentile is quite low, though I can't say certainly but based on previous years trend you won't make it for any IIIT or NIT. Here, visit this link to know more about expected cutoff for various IIITs and previous year cutoff for IIITs. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/articles/iiits-cut-off-for-jee-main-blogId-20005.

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. JEE is a super competitive exam, nationwide. You will not be able to get branches with high demand such as IT or CSE with 135 marks. Tentatively, you need to get 160+ marks for better chances of these courses in NIT and IIIT. Students often have doubts about the marks vs percentile in JEE Mains 2021. The National Testing Agency NTA releases JEE Main result of candidates in the form of percentile scores. The JEE Main percentile scores are not the actual marks but the normalized marks of candidates. Normalization is done to remove any possible parity in difficulty level of the JEE Main question paper as t

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination and hence the competition is quite large. For admissions in NITs through JEE Main, the candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance examination. JEE Main is conducted as a computer-based test and the candidates will have to answer questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For JEE Main qualified candidates, a common counselling process is conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). During the online counselling process, the candidates will be able to register and select their choice of colleges and courses from the list of
