The last date of applying to RGUKT - (IIIT Basara) - admission into the academic year 2024-25 was on 22nd June 2024, 5:00 PM. In the case of special categories, the last date for submitting the printout of the online application is 29th June 2024.

The admission to M.Tech in RGUKT or IIIT Basara is given on the basis of GATE or PGECET scores, that make up 80% of the admissions. Remaining 20% candidates are screened based on performance at the interview. For being considered for admission, a candidate must meet the certain eligibility requirements. Applications are available online on the website of RGUKT. First preference will be given to qualified GATE candidates, and local and out-of-state reservation policies will be followed.

No, RGUKT does not offer any direct admissions into any programme at RGUKT. Admission to the 6-year integrated B.Tech. programme shall be by merit in the grade point average (GPA) and grade obtained in each subject in SSC examination. The candidate should have passed SSC or its equivalent examination with at least 60% aggregate marks in case of candidates belonging to the general category and 55% aggregate marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC categories.

RGUKT-IIIT Basar offers a six year integral education, from class VI to B.Tech, with an intermediary exit after two years of Pre University education and four years of engineering. Presently seven branches are offered at the time of specialization:

IIIT Basara, more reputedly known as GUKT, offers an Integrated B.Tech. course consisting of a two-year pre-university course matched with a four-year engineering course. It is a professional integrated structure that promotes easy transition from higher secondary to a degree course in professional engineering such as computer science, electronics, and mechanical engineering.

The tuition fee for courses at RGUKT- (IIIT Basara) varies. The tuition fee per annum for B.Tech students will be somewhere near Rs. 37,000 for the category falling under Domicile/Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, while in case of other states, it is Rs.1,37,000. International students pay around Rs. 3,01,000 every year. The M.Tech course is charged at Rs. 2.7 Lacs as the course fees.

Admission to RGUKT, commonly known as IIIT Basara, is solely based on the GPA of class 10.
