As per DASA UG cutoff 2022, the last round closing ranks for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 923 for the General category All India candidates. As in 2021, it closed at 757 . On analysing it can be concluded that the institute has witnessed an increase in the last few years. Refer to the table below to check out the previous year's DASA-UG cutoff trends for IIIT Sonepat admission 2022:

IIIT Sonepat offers two BTech courses for which ranks are based on JEE Main scores. As per the last three years, IIIT Sonepat cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses for JEE Main Round 1 is expected to be as follows for the General category students:
- B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering must range between 16525 and 20515.
- B.Tech. in Information Technology must range between 17763 and 22295.

IIIT Agartala offers a Bachelor of Technology programme in Computer Science and Engineering, and admission is granted through the JEE Main entrance exam. The eligibility criteria are determined by CSAB/JoSAA. The annual intake capacity for the B.Tech programme is 192 students. The topics given under General Aptitude in IIIT PGEE syllabus are basic aptitude, logical reasoning and basic questions on computers and mathematics. Candidates must prepare basic questions about these subjects in order to score a good mark in this section. The candidtes must keep pratising the topics included in General Aptitute to score well in the IIIITH PGEE exam.

The subjects that are incorporated in IIITH PGEE 2025 syllabus are General Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Computer Knowledge and Mathematics. There will also be a subject paper. Subject paper like Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Civil Engineering. The question paper will include 2 parts.

At IIIT Agartala, students actively participate in all co-curricular activities like games and sports, techno-cultural festivals, essay competitions, drama competitions, rallies on various themes, NSS programmes and many more sponsored by the State Government, Central Government and other statutory bodies and the Institute authority. NSS or NCC is a compulsory subject for all students in the first year.

IIIT Agartala is currently operating from the NIT Agartala campus on a temporary basis, and it is unlikely to change for at least the next five years.
