IIIT Lucknow is situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh's IT City. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) founded the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Lucknow in 2015. With financial assistance from MHRD, the Indian government, the Uttar Pradesh government, and Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Ltd. as industry partners, it was founded on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
