Scoring 89 percentile in JEE Main 2024 can offer you admission opportunities in NITs and IIITs. For NITs, candidates aiming for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) normally want a rank under 30,000, that's approximately equivalent to 97 percentile. However, the required percentile may range primarily based at the class. OBC/EWS candidates typically require a percentile decrease than ninety for NIT admission. In the beyond, General class applicants have wished ninety five-ninety seven percentile for NITs, whilst OBC/EWS candidates have required eighty five-ninety percentile, and SC/ST applicants have wanted 65-70 percentile for NIT admis

The exact cut-off for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at IIIT Sonepat for home state Other Backward Class (OBC) female students is not available. However, it’s important to note that the cut-off varies each year based on several factors such as the difficulty level of the JEE Main exam, number of applicants, number of seats available, and the category of the candidate.

In general, for admission to IIITs, candidates require a minimum JEE Main rank of around 10,000. For the OBC category, the cut-off ranks can be somewhat lower. Please note that these are approximate figures and the actual cut-off may vary.

Sorry, but from seeing last year's cutoff you won't be able to get any NIT or IIIT from this rank, if you are from the general category.

Although in IITs, there are 2 seats reserved for defence personnel but for NITs, GFTIs, IIITs there is no quota for CAPF personnel. There are in total 10,006 seats across all IITs and Jee Advanced qualified total number of students were 26,456 amongst which CAPF sets were quite less but yes reserved.

With a percentile of 63 in JEE Main, admission to NITs or IIITs can be challenging.

While a percentile of 63 opens up opportunities for various engineering colleges, it may not be sufficient for NITs or IIITs, as these institutions typically have higher cutoffs.

Admission to NITs and IIITs is competitive, and candidates with higher percentiles are generally preferred for these prestigious institutes.
