Yes, MBA colleges do look for work experience for admissions. Work experience candidates already have some exposure of business world, organisations working policies. Hence, they are preferred over freshers. Thanks.

The minimum score required in CAT to get admission into the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) varies each year and depends on various factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants, and the number of seats available.
However, to increase your chances of getting shortlisted for the next round of selection at IIMs, you should aim to score at least 95 percentile or above. Typically, candidates who score above 99 percentile in CAT have a high probability of getting a call for the next round of selection process, which usually includes Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI)

Most of the MBA programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) and XLRI, work experience is not mandatory, but it is highly desirable. Candidates with work experience are preferred as they bring a diverse range of perspectives and valuable insights into the classroom. However, some of the Iims and XLRI do have a minimum work experience requirement for certain MBA programs. For instance, IIM Ahmedabad PGPX programme requires a minimum of 4 years of work experience, and IIM Bangalore's EPGP programme requires a minimum of 5 years of work experience. Therefore, it's essential to check the eligibility criteria of the specif

Yes, some of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) do accept Management Aptitude Test MAT scores. However, it's important to note that acceptance of MAT scores by IIMs may vary from year to year, and also depend on the specific IIM and the programme you are applying to. In general, CAT (Common Admission Test) is the primary entrance exam accepted by most IIMs. However, some IIMs also accept other entrance exams such as XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) and GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) in addition to MAT. Therefore, it is best to check with the specific IIM you are interested in to confirm whether they accept MAT scores for a

The Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) are prestigious institutions that are known for their high academic standards and rigorous selection process for their MBA programs. While a low graduation percentage may make it difficult to get into an IIM, there are still some options that you may consider. Firstly, it's important to note that the selection process for the Iims involves multiple stages, including the Common Admission Test CAT academic performance, work experience, and Personal Interview . So, while a low graduation percentage may be a disadvantage, it may not necessarily disqualify you from consideration. Secondly, there ar

To be eligible for the CAT exam and MBA programme from an IIM, candidates must meet the minimum academic eligibility criteria, which typically requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA from a recognised university. Since you have completed your M.Com which is a postgraduate degree, it is not clear if you have completed your Bachelor's degree or not. Assuming you have completed your Bachelor's degree and your undergraduate degree also meets the minimum academic eligibility criteria, you will be eligible to take the CAT exam and apply for an MBA programme from an IIM. However, it is essential to keep in m

If you are not appearing for the CAT exam, there are still a few options available for pursuing an MBA or PGDM programme from an IIM:
Other Entrance Exams: Some Iims accept scores from other management entrance exams such as XAT MAT GMAT or CMAT. You can appear for these exams and apply for admission to the Iims that accept these scores. Management Development Programs: Iims offer several Management Development Programs (MDPs) that are designed for working professionals. These programs are shorter in duration and offer specialised knowledge and skills in specific areas. You can consider enrolling in an MDP to enhance your skills and imp

To be eligible for admission to Iims, you need to meet the minimum academic eligibility criteria, which typically requires candidates to have at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in their undergraduate degree from a recognised university. Since you haven't mentioned your undergraduate degree percentage, I am assuming that you have not completed your undergraduate degree yet. Assuming that you meet the minimum academic eligibility criteria, if you score 99% in the CAT exam, you will have a good chance of getting a call from one of the Iims for the next stage of the admission process, which typically includes a written ability test,
