You may give the exam, but then you will have to leave engineering to pursue the course and do check age criterion.

I have no idea of SCB exam. You can give IISER exam, no issues with that. Speaking for KVPY, this is the condition. “Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate programme in basic sciences namely physics/chemistry/mathematics and biology leading to B.Sc. /B.S. /B.Stat. /B.Math. /Int. M.Sc. /Int. Yes, maths forms an important component of IISER entrance exam and it is not optional.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in five-year long BS-MS dual degree programme offered by them. Candidates who have cleared their Class XII in Science stream are eligible to apply for IISER Entrance Exam 2018.

Yes, you may give the test as it has 4 subjects - Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths. Leave out maths and prepare fully for the three subjects as very fewer students out there have PCMB.
