You may give the exam, but then you will have to leave engineering to pursue the course and do check age criterion.

I have no idea of SCB exam. You can give IISER exam, no issues with that. Speaking for KVPY, this is the condition. “Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate programme in basic sciences namely physics/chemistry/mathematics and biology leading to B.Sc. /B.S. /B.Stat. /B.Math. /Int. M.Sc. /Int.
