No, a hostel is not compulsory at IIT Gandhinagar for M.Tech students. However, the college's hostel is very good. Currently, the college has eight hostels. The campus hostels are air-conditioned and have well-furnished rooms. The academic area is just a short distance from the hostels. The student hostels are largely Wi-Fi enabled.

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for M.Sc in Mathematics is Class 12 with a minimum aggregate set by the college and the accepted entrance exam is IIT JAM. MSc degree is offered in various specialisations like Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Cognitive Science. Application to MSc courses at IIT Gandhinagar usually begins in December. The application fee for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is INR 150 and for all other categories, it is INR 300.

No, IIT Gandhinagar admission to the BTech programme is done only through JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech course at IIT Gandhinagar are expected to qualify for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counselling to secure admission. Additionally, to be eligible for the BTech programme, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate. Candidates can check the JEE Advanced College Predictor  to predict their chances of admission.

The institute has recorded 92% placements for its B.Tech batch passing out in 2022. In total, 153 job offers were provided to the students during IIT Gandhinagar placements 2022. All the Indian institute of technology that you have listed are good. But among them IIT Varanasi is best. It ranks higher among them. IIT Jodhpur and IIT gandhinagar are both new IIT's and they are also good in term of opportunities and placements that they will provide you. If you got a chance then choose IIT Varanasi.
