Admission is mainly done through the MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test). However, the management quota has 20% seats. One gets admitted to the college without MHT CET through:

Management quota, which occupies 20% of seats.

JEE Main scores-15% All-India quota

Diploma holders as a lateral entry with 10% of seats in particular seats. Eligibility: 45% + in 10+2 (40% + in reserved categories). MHT CET cut-off: 100-150 +

JEE Main cut-off: 75-120 +

Contact college authorities for management quota admissions.

No, you cannot get admission to Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) in Sangli without the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET):

Admission process

WCE admissions are based on merit and are conducted through the online centralized admission process (CAP).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the MHT CET, you must have passed Class 12 and be a resident of Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, or an All India, Minority, NRI, or Foreign citizen.

Counselling

Admission is based on the rank obtained in the MHT CET, and vacant seats are filled based on the rank in JEE-Mains.

Yes. Admission to P.E.S. College of Engineering in B.E./B.Tech can be done without appearing for MHT CET. The major share of the student intake happens due to merit in national-level entrance tests like JEE Main or PESSAT - PES Scholastic Aptitude Test.
Then comes the eligibility criteria, comprising completion of Class 12 with minimum aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. So if one has a valid score in JEE Main or PESSAT then, he/ she could definitely get into the college without taking MHT CET.

Yes, there is a probability of getting admission in IIT Kanpur for BTech if your rank is around 5000. However, it will depend on the branch of engineering you are applying for B.Tech on which department your interested. Since, the cut offs keep changing for different departments from round to round, therefore better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in IIT Kanpur.
