No, you can't get selection at IIT Kanpur with mere 450 rank. As per the IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced cutoff 2024, the required rank to get selection at IIT Kanpur stood at 252 for the General AI category candidates.

Getting a 7500 rank in JEE Advanced can not give admission for BTech/B.S programs. Under OBC AI quota, the IIT Kanpur JEE Advanced 2024, the rank stood between 132 and 4766. Candidates need to acquire a rank upto 4766 rank to get admission at IIT Kanpur

Based on overall reputation and placement opportunities, Material Science at IITK is generally considered the better option compared to Textile Engineering at IIT Delhi and Engineering Physics at IIT Roorkee, as Material Science tends to have broader applications and higher demand in the job market, especially if you choose a top-ranked IIT for this program.

The choice between B.Sc Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kanpur and B.Tech from IIT Guwahati depends on your professional goals and interests.
B.Sc. Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kanpur is more mathematical, algorithm-based, data Science and computing. It suits AI, finance, analytics, software development or research careers. Placements may be more research or software-oriented rather than the traditional engineering job roles.
IIT Guwahati B.Tech, especially CSE, ECE or Mechanical has improved core engineering and industry exposure. It has more solid placements in engineering and technology firms.

Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE) is an internship programme of IIT Kanpur. The programme is offered to the three categories - SAARC students, Non-IITK students, and IIT Kanpur students. Actually, both these courses are excellent. Both have good faculty, good infrastructure and also high market demand. Only point to make difference is placements. Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur have little much better placements than Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) at IIT Delhi. Finally, I would suggest you Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur if you consider placements.

IIT Kanpur also accepts GATE exam scores for the admission to M.Tech courses. Candidates with 700 score can easily get admission to any course except Discontinued (Jul 2023)-M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI at IIT Kanpur. The IIT Kanpur cutoff 2024 stood between 622 and 840 for the General AI category candidates. The toughest and the easiest course to get into IIT Kanpur were Discontinued (Jul 2023) - M.Tech in Microelectronics and VLSI and Discontinued (Jul 2023)-M.Tech. in Power Engineering for the General AI category candidates.
