No, a bachelors in science student can never apply for M.Tech in IIT or any other college because they take admission through GATE exam and B.Sc. students are not eligible to sit or appear for it.

There has always been a doubt in aspirants mind to join B-School or Non B-School i.e. we consider IIMS, IMT, MDI, IIFT etc. As B-Schools and IITs or say FMS (Lack of campus and proper B-School environment). So, let me go through various factors which differentiate between B-School and Non B-School. I will be talking about the campus life of VGSoM and in comparison to IMT-G. The First and the most important thing which you get with VGSoM is IIT Kharagpur brand name which is huge in India because it is the oldest IIT in India. Speaking very frankly, except some negative review almost all are positive. University has to remain in touch with corporate world, so that students come to know about the practical implementation of their bookish knowledge, and it also helps them to remain knowledgeable about current happenings. Faculties also help students in this context. But, overall the reviews are very positive.
Fee Structure and Facilities:
Fee structure is feasible, as it is a government University. I mean, it is between the ranges of a common economical background student. In my course, it is Rs 1.40 lakhs for first 3 years and in Masters Level, it is around

Economics is very good field with excellent job opportunities. In case you are interested in making career as an economist or finance specialist, you may opt for M.Sc economics at IIT KGP.
