Hi sarthak. See, if you wish to settle for just any branch in any gov college, then you have chances of getting that. But otherwise getting admission in a gov college will depend upon which branch you desire and also on the category you belong to.
I would suggest you wait for mains results and simultaneously take tests for private colleges as well to keep your options open just in case something goes very wrong.
All the best!

Hello Pawan,
All the tests you mentioned do not co-relate with each other so you must decide what you are looking for career wise and interest wise. GRE is mainly for MS programs abroad, IIT JAM is again the joint tests for technical courses in IIT and SSC is taken for various openings under the Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. You will be the best person to know what you should pursue. You may be required to take more than one tests and but decide what is best for you by identifying your career goals. Good Luck

To become astronaut you will have to become a Pilot or Flight Engineer. Opportunities to become Astronaut are very few ( you can count them on fingers). In India astronauts were inducted from Fighter branch of Indian Air Force. I will recommend that complete Aeronautical Engineering degree and learn to fly. You can then apply to organisations such as NASA to fulfill your dream.
