The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) offers opportunities for pilots under the General Duty (Pilot) branch. Here's the process:
Educational Qualification – A Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech) with Physics and Math in 12th grade is required.
Selection through Coast Guard Assistant Commandant (AC) Exam – Candidates must pass the ICG Assistant Commandant selection process, which includes written exams, SSB-like interviews, and medical tests.
Pilot Training – After selection, candidates undergo basic and advanced flying training at ICG academies before being commissioned as pilots.

Medical examination is conducted by authorised Medical Officers of Defence Forces as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry. The criteria for medical standard is given below.
Height: Minimum height 157 cms. Height standards may be reduced by up to 05 cms below 157 cms for candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and local tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Reduction of 05 cm is also applicable to Gorkhas. Height standards may be reduced by upto 02 cms for candidates having domicile of Lakshadwee

The level of the syllabus is of Class 10 and 12 standards. Indian Coast Guard syllabus for section I comprises subjects such as Maths, Science, English, Reasoning, and GK. The syllabus of Indian Coast Guard Navik for section II comprises subjects such as Maths and Physics.

Physical world and measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power. Newton's laws and applications, circular motion. The motion of a System of particles and rigid body, gravitation, Property of Bulk Matter, thermodynamics, behaviour of perfect gas and kinetic theory, Oscillation and Waves.

After submission of Online Registration form and deduction of fees, a Registration Number will be generated and same will be communicated to your registered Mobile number and Email Id.
The Hall Ticket Number, date & time of reporting at the centre is mentioned in the Admit Card which is generated at a later point of time. You will come to know these details once the Admit Card is generated. You shall visit ICG's registration website and check the details in Candidate Login. You may need to regularly visit website for Admit Card availability date.
