The UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) entrance exam pattern is as follows:

- Duration: The duration of the UCEED exam is typically 3 hours.

- Mode: The exam is conducted in online (computer-based) mode.

- Sections: The question paper is divided into three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C.

- Type of Questions: 

  - Part A: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that assess candidates' analytical and logical reasoning abilities, visual perception, and observation skills.

  - Part B: Multiple-select questions that evaluate candidates' design aptitude, creativity, drawing, and visualization skills.

  - Part C: Questions that assess candidates' ability to communicate and express their thoughts and ideas through a written response.

- Total Marks: The UCEED exam is generally out of a total of 300 marks, with different weightage for each section.

- Marking Scheme: The marking scheme for the UCEED exam varies across sections. There may be negative marking for incorrect answers in Part A, while in Part B and Part C, marks are awarded for correct answers, and no negative marking is applicable.

- Syllabus: The UCEED syllabus covers various topics, including visualization and spatial ability, observation and design sensitivity, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, design thinking and problem-solving, and drawing.

Candidates are advised to refer to the official sources and exam guidelines provided by the conducting authority for accurate and up-to-date information regarding the UCEED exam pattern.

The CEED 2024 participating institutes will open the application form for counseling on their respective official admission portals. The step-wise admission process to the M.Desprogrammeis given below:

1. The candidate needs to check CEED 2024 results.

2. Candidates who have qualified CEED 2024 exam, or have been assigned a merit rank are eligible to apply to CEED 2024 participating institute.

3. The participating institutes will start the counseling application form soon after CEED 2024 results are declared.

4. The candidate who have qualified CEED 2024 exam and also meets the eligibility criteria prescribed by the participating institute need to fill in the application form before the last date.

5. The participating institute will shortlist applications based on the merit rank of the candidate.

6. The instutite may also conduct further admission rounds before final seat allotment.

The participating institutes of CEED 2024 are colleges that will offer admission to M.Desprogrammeonly on the basis of CEED 2024 scores. These institutes not consider scores of other entrance exams, like NIFT and NID DAT, for admission purposes. The list of CEED 2024 participating institutes will be published on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

The online application form for admission to CEED participating institutes will open tentatively in the last week of September 2023. Note that unlike UCEED 2024, IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2024.

Such candidates who qualify CEED 2024 will have to apply directly to a participating college.
