Hi Ved, Both CSE and IT are good Branches. There are lot of opportunities in both the branches. The major difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the Science that facilitates these applications. In my opinion CSE is better than IT as it has more demand in IT sector.

As per the eligibility criteria of NIMCET, the Candidates must have studied B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT/ B.E/ B.Tech of minimum three years full-time from a recognised University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects. They must have a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST). So if you have studied Mathematics/ Statistics as one subject in BCA than can be eligible only. Otherwise not.
