Information Technology used to be a sub segment or related stream of Computers Engineering, but has list it's value, because of the highest level of advancements in Computer Science and engineering. Network Security seems to be and presently is a well preferred domain and has careers in it. Be it B.Tech. In Electronics or CSE, Security and Programming and the merger of both is much needed. Remember that it is not completely about the specialization, but the domain you choose as your career. Go for Network domain because IT by default is a part of that thing later.
