Hi,
There are two ways of getting an admission in SRM University –
1. Merit quota
2. Management quota
CSE and IT are always most wanted and fill very fast. Even a 30000 rank will not be able to give you IT in main campus through merit quota. The merit quota fees is 1,80,000 + 15,000 /annum.
Now comes the other way.
Management quota-
The fees currently is 3,50,000/annum. You can apply for IT through management quota but you will have to pay more.

There is no guarantee of 100% placements in India for B.Tech / B.Sc IT because in India there are large number of IT engineers and B.Tech is better among B.Tech and B.Sc IT.

B.Sc IT is a 3-year graduation degree to expose students to basic of Information Technology and Business Applications development and maintenance. Syllabus includes courses on computer programming languages, data structure, databases and networking, etc. are common. B.Sc IT degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. B.Sc IT degree can only help you to get only entry level jobs and will require acquisition of PG degrees such as MCA and M.Sc IT for a meaningful career and growth.

Hello
Information technology (IT) may adopt the monikers information systems or systems administration. Essentially, IT professionals are the users of technology.
Whereas, Computer Science(CSE) background person, I.e computer 'scientists' are focused on the theory of computational applications.

B.Tech CSE is a better option in comparison to B.Tech IT because acceptance of CSE grads is higher in comparison to IT engineering grads in Indian job market. There is a perception in recruiter that CSE grads are superior in computing skills and have better academics because only toppers of Engineering Entrance Examinations are able to get CSE branch. Cut-off IT is much lower in all engineering entrance examinations.
