You are not eligible for seeking admission in B.Tech CSE or IT as you do not have Maths as subject in 12th board. If you want to become an engineer, then you are advised to appear for Maths as an external candidate to meet engineering eligibility criteria.
You are eligible to do BCA- MCA to become an IT professional.

Hi Puneethan!
Highest salaries are generally in the range of 20-25 LPA at VIT University. These packages are mostly offered by IT companies to CS/IT students. The least package will be around 3 LPA
In VIT companies are divided into 3 categories: Super dream, Dream and Normal ones. Super Dream are those companies who offer CTC more than 10LPA and Dream Companies are those which offer 4-10LPA (sometimes VIT categorizes comapanies who offer less than 4 LPA as dream based on some t & c).

In most of the Universities Science student can apply for B.Sc IT course provided that they have studied mathematics or Statistics as one subject in 10+2 stage. You are not eligible to seek admission in B.Sc IT without Maths.

Definitely, information technology has a lot of scope if the syllabus kept updated as per the changing environment.
Placement is around 50% for IT branch in Walchand College. In the past total seats, were123 and students placed were 66. If you can find a job on your own, you may opt for that. Also, don't expect a great salary. However, an engineering program is of 4 years so things may change when you complete it
