Hello Ashwani,
VIT Vellore is the better option among these two. Actually for IT both these colleges are equal but according to rankings and reviews VIT Vellore beats SRM Chennai.
If you get any other branches of VIT and SRM then you must be aware of it.
For VIT Vellore is the best and if you get VIT chennai it is better but for SRM only main campus (KTR campus) is only better.
All the best!

B.Sc IT is a programme wherein students are trained to perform well in computer applications and software. And B.Sc CS is a more academic course, and focuses mainly on mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing plus hardware focus.
Among the two, B.Sc IT is designed according to the needs of the IT industry while B.Sc CS enlightens more of theoretical aspects.
Both have their own merits offering challenging jobs in the field of computers. I would suggest you to analyse the various opportunities available and select the right path based on your personal criteria which should include:

CSE and EC are both different fields. You can not compare this. But CSE is better than IT. Do not see where is scope but try to see your interest because interest creates scope.

Hello Ashwani, at VIT Vellore you can opt for any courses whereas in other campuses you might be selective only.
At Vellore, there are more placements for all courses. So you need not worry and I will opt for IT only because VIT offers huge placements for IT and CSE only.
All the best!
