Electronics engineer is a person who can make use of his command over the low level computer programming languages to make the circuits do, what he wants them to do. Some subjects are like: Control Systems (Embedded Systems, Robust, Optimal, Microcontroller, etc.), RFID, Nano Printing, Gyrotron, Klystron, Magnetrons, Plasma Devices etc., Robotics and Automation, Artificial Intelligence.
AIl includes:- Image Processing, Speech Processing, NLP, Machine Learning, Computer Vision etc., Processor Architecture, Wireless And Sensor Systems and Quantum Computing.
If you are fascinated about, how a cell phone communicates, how all the wireless technologies work, how internet works, how a small IC do a lot of job, how small IC are made and designed, what are the electronics involved in an electronic device, how satellite communicates, how GPS works (a long list), then this branch is for you.
It is the study of computers and programming languages and its logic, software design. At the end of the course you'll have the skills required work in the industry as a software developer. If you get thrilled to see how mobile apps work, how programming's codes are transformed to look like websites then you can choose IT.
Programming Language (C+), basic electronics, numerical analysis and programming, data structure, digital electronics and integrated circuits, principle of programming languages, analog electronics, communication systems, microprocessor and interfacing, software engineering, operating system, database management system, design and analysis of algorithm, computer organization and architecture.
Choose IT if you love programming and software design, but you're not much interested in the hardware part.
Choose ECE if you love the hardware more than programming and are more interested in learning how the electronic circuits work.
