Both the branches are related to the software engineering. If any software company visits any college for campus placement it mostly allows both the branches. But if you are asking then CSE is a better option as per the job prospects.

There are various jobs in IT firm, each having a different requirement. Mostly, IT firms take BE, B.Tech, BCA, MCA graduates apart from these degrees MBA, M.Tech, ME students can also apply.

After doing BCA, you can directly go in 2nd year of MCA through lateral entry i.e; MCA 2 year normal graduate people other than BCA, have to go for 3 years MCA.
