The faculty of L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (L.J.I.E.T) has been considered as quite good. Most of the faculty hold M.Tech or Ph.D degrees and have industrial experience, especially in Computer Science, IT, and Mechanical Engineering.

Professors take joint handling of teaching theory with practical labs, projects, and seminars, promoting industry readiness, although some students understand that a few least sought branches cling to conventional lectures.

The student-teacher ratio of 1:30-40 promotes interactive engagement, with teachers communicating and providing student access via WhatsApp or calls, resolving doubts. Reviews state that faculty motivate students and support them.

In general, the faculty here is experienced, chiefly with most senior teachers having M.Tech or PhDs, particularly from the Computer Engineering and Information Technology streams. They generally have a decent record in terms of qualification and are also quite supportive; they are open to giving additional guidance, even out of the classroom.

According to student reviews, each faculty member teaches about 30-40 students. However, according to some reviews, the quality is not so uniform, and obsolete methods of teaching or low engagement are indicated in some departments. However, the institute has been proactive in organizing faculty development and industrial exposure programs, which can help overcome some of the gaps in teaching technical subjects. 

Candidates seeking admission to L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology for B.E./B.Tech should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the 10+2 standard, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The admission to the colleges is done through GUJCET or JEE Main and by counseling done by Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for 75% of the seats.

However, the candidates must register for GUJCET before May 20, 2025, and for JEE Main, apply through the ACPC portal and select L.J.I.E.T. For the remaining seats, which comprise 25% NRI/management quota seats, applications are made directly through the institute's website or admission office, accompanied by a copy of the 10+2 passing marksheet, entrance score sheets, and identity proof. 

L.J. Institute of Engineering and Technology (L.J.I.E.T) admissions for B.E./B.Tech have been opened as of April 2025 for the academic session 2025-26. In the first week of January 2025, registration for the GUJCET 2025 counseling for B.E./B.Tech courses started.

The last date for this was on May 20, 2025. The list for seat allotment for round 1 is expected to be out by June 13, 2025. The candidate may also apply to the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for 75% seats, or through the institute's website for the remaining 25% NRI/management quota, as eligibility requires 60% in 10+2 (Science) and having a valid GUJCET or JEE Main.
