Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology Highlights 2026

Located in Jaipur, the Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2007. PIET is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with RTU. The institute is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Moreover, PIET is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute has been ranked 3 by Rajasthan Technical University (Kota) amongst 116 Engineering Colleges of Rajasthan, by Rajasthan Technical University Kota, under QIV Framework. Additionally, PIET has sighed over 20 MoUs with various companies. On 14th June 2021, the Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur has been selected amongst 49 proud Institutions across India & Only 1 institution across Rajasthan to establish AICTE- Sponsored IDEA Lab to empower the students and faculty to “engage, explore, experience, express and excel”, addressing the need of new-age learning. Further, the institute has Collaboration with IBM for research on Business Intelligence and Cloud Computing. It also provides Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program.

A good college that feels like school most of the time.

Placements: Approximately 70% of students get placed, but most of them are hired by mass recruiting companies that pay very little. The highest I have seen someone secure is 10 LPA, which is not much. Most do internships here, but hardly a few are from good companies.

Infrastructure: I mean it's decent, the girls' hostel is well maintained, but the boys' hostel don't even have beds. There is good space for both indoor and outdoor gaming. It's a 100% Wi-Fi campus, and good facilities for snacks in the canteen. Every class has charging ports.

Faculty: The college is now autonomous, so the curriculum is very updated and good for preparing students for the industry. The exams are way too frequently conducted for my liking, but everything else is well. The faculty knows what they are doing. The teaching level here is better than any other college in Jaipur.

Other: The student council is a really good aspect they have in the college. The way it functions and conducts small-scale to large-scale events ever so frequently is fun.

My overall experience is good.

Placements: Most of the students from 3rd and 4th year get placed; approximately 60-70% of students get placed. The highest package for the 2024 batch is 12 LPA. The average package is 4-5 LPA, and the lowest package is not published. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The percentage of students who get internships is not specified, but most students get internships in Persistent, Celebal Technologies, LTI, TCS, HCL Technologies, Flipkart, and Unschool. Core engineering fields include Data Science, AI, CSE, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure is good, with a fully Wi-Fi campus and digital classrooms with smart boards. There are labs for all practicals and a library with a good environment, and most of the books are available. The hostels are good, but as my friends mentioned, the mess food is not so good. Medical facilities are also provided, and sports facilities are available.

Faculty: Teachers are good and very helpful, possessing good knowledge. The overall teaching quality is good. They follow the old curriculum as per RTU, but they start coding, like C, from the 1st year. By the end of the 4th year, students are industry-ready. The difficulty level of exams is medium, and most of the students pass.

Other: I chose this course because it is the best course in my field. With this course, I can specialize in areas like AI and other fields. There is more focus on coding from the first year instead of Chemistry, Physics, workshops, and CAEG lab. Events and fests are good with a good crowd, and the connectivity is also good, with an airport, railway station, and bus stop in nearby distance.

Our college is very good.

Placements: Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur, has the best placements. Many companies visit the college and hire a large number of students. The average placement is 7 to 8 LPA, the highest placement this year is 15 LPA, and the lowest placement is 2 LPA. Many companies attend the placement drives these days.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our course and hostel is very good. Wi-Fi is installed in all classrooms and labs. There is no password for Wi-Fi anywhere on campus. Labs have both LAN and Wi-Fi systems and use modern technologies. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards, good benches, and study tables. The library has a digital section available in our college.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful to students and highly qualified. Some have graduated from IITs and NITs and are very knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very good. The curriculum of our course is a four year B.Tech program. Internships are also provided for students. There are two semesters in a year and the pass percentage is 45 percent.

This college is a very good college in Jaipur. This college only offers B.Tech in CS.

Placements: The placement of the college is very good. 90% of average students will be placed. The highest package of our colleges is 45LPA, the average package is 5LPA, and the lowest packages are in the Lacs. There are many requirements for companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Microsoft, Google, etc. In college, there are a lot of students who get internships in good companies.

Infrastructure: Hostel and classrooms are very good, there is Wi-Fi in hostel rooms, etc., A modern central library where many books are available. The hostel facilities are very good, and the canteen, medical facilities, and sports games are also available.

Faculty: Faculty is very good. There are many curriculum activities like Garba Night Rohan programme, pressure party, many programs are there, and many events are organised, and the exams of our course are two midterm exams and a term exam, and there are two semesters in a year, and the past percentage is 39%.

My college is in the pink city. Review of placements, infrastructure, and faculty of my course.

Placements: Placements in my course are decent and around 70-80 percent of students get placed. The highest package is 15 LPA and the lowest package is around 4 LPA. The average package ranges from 7-8 LPA. Companies like TCS Cognizant and Amazon frequently visit the college to hire students. Around 60 percent of students secure internships, mostly with tech giants. The common roles offered are software engineer data analyst and business analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a decent library. Hostel rooms are basic but functional. The food in the mess is average. Sports facilities, including football, badminton, and a gym, are available. Medical services are available on campus for emergency needs. The canteen also offers snacks and beverages throughout the day.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares us for industry roles. Exams are challenging, with a pass percentage of about 80-85%.
