Admissions at VIPS are on the basis on the merit of the candidate drawn on the basis of the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIPU. For all courses covered under CET, the university prepares a list of candidates in the order of merit in each category. The eligibility for these courses is 50% marks in 10+2 examination with English as a mandatory subject. Admission to these programs is through IPU CET.

No, once answers are marked on OMR sheet in IPU CET it is generally not possible to change options. OMR sheets are designed to detect and check marked responses. Making changes to the options may cause difficulty in calculating score. Candidates must check and verify answers before marking them on OMR sheet.

IPU CET question paper for B.Tech (Bio-Technology) includes questions from Physics Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology or Biotechnology at the Class 12 level. Percentage distribution of questions for each subject is as follows Physics (Class 12 Level) - 20% Chemistry (Class 12 Level) - 20% Mathematics (Class 12 Level) - 20% Biology (Botany and Zoology or Biotechnology (Class 12 Level) - 40%.

BTech Lateral entry admission for the BSc graduates will include the questions from the following subjects: Mathematics, Analytical & Logical Reasoning (BSc Level), English (Class 12 level), and Scientific Aptitude.
