You can prepare for all entrance tests at same time. It is a tough task but not impossible. For this a proper strategy is required. Here are some important tips.

  • Compare the syllabus: All engineering entrance exams have almost the same syllabus. There might be some additional topics in some exams. The aspirant must study the syllabus for all exams and find out the topics that are extra, and prepare those separately. Almost 90% of the topics will be common for all entrance exams, and hence, syllabus completion for one exam will lead to completion of the syllabus for all the exams.
  • Prepare for JEE Mains and incorporate the preparatio

It's best to start preparing for JEE Advanced from Class 11. This allows you to build a strong foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, ensuring a deep understanding of concepts. Starting early gives you enough time to revise, practice, and strengthen problem-solving skills before the exam.

  1. Understand the JEE Advanced Syllabus and Exam Pattern
    1. Syllabus: Make sure you're familiar with the full syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. JEE Advanced typically focuses on topics from both class 11 and class 12, but class 11 topics form the foundation, so focus on them first.

While it's understandable that you're feeling pressed for time, skipping topics entirely during JEE Advanced preparation isn't the best approach. However, if you're really limited on time, you can focus on the following strategies:

  • Prioritize High-Weightage Topics: Some topics carry more weight in the exam than others. For example:
    • Physics: Modern Physics, Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics.
    • Chemistry: Physical Chemistry (especially Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry), Organic Chemistry (important reactions), Inorganic Chemistry (coordination compounds).
    • Mathematics: Calculus, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry.
  • Avoid Unfami

If you've just appeared for JEE Main and wish to prepare for JEE Advanced, begin by clearing your fundamentals from NCERT books. Practice questions from books such as HC Verma (Physics), MS Chauhan (Organic Chemistry), and Cengage (Math). Attempt past year papers of JEE Advanced and practice mock tests for enhancing speed. Prepare short notes for quick revision and emphasize weak areas. Attending a test series can help monitor progress.

The simple approach is, whatever chapters you think you have strong command on it and are relatively easy and scoring, try to complete them first

All the best, hoping this would help .
