The basic and most efficient way to prepare for the JEE Advanced exam is to complete the syllabus as soon as possible and indulge in solving a lot of questions. All three subjects in JEE Advanced need conceptual clarity and application of various concepts to solve the problems. Practice as many mock tests and previous year papers as possible. Work on time management and building speed. Along with speed, also work on your accuracy.

There is no one answer to this question. The weightage of the topics in JEE Main and Advanced keeps changing year after year. To get a good score in both exams, candidates must complete the syllabus of the exams entirely. However, as per the previous year's trends, here are the topics in JEE Mains and Advanced that had carried high weightage:
JEE Advanced:
- Maths: Matrices, Determinants, Vectors, 3D, Limits, Continuity and Differentiation had more weightage
- Physics: EMI, Electrostatics, error, sound wave, optics, unit and dimensions, Mechanics had more weighatge
- Chemistry: p-block, Chemical bonding, and Coordination compounds, Electrochemi

Many aspirants who are not able to crack JEE Advanced get stuck by this question: "Should I take a drop for JEE Advanced?", "Is it worth taking a drop for JEE Advanced?"
This question and confusion are very much valid, as it takes a lot of effort and time to prepare for an exam like JEE Advanced; repeating the same effort and investing more time can be challenging for all.
Therefore, take a drop for any exam, only if:
- You are completely prepared for the exam.
- You missed your first chance to crack the exam by only a margin.
- You did score well in the previous attempt, but you want to improve to get a better course or IIT or maybe both.
- Do not

Preparing for exams like JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, and other CETs can seem overwhelming, but you can achieve this with a strategy. Here are the facts:
- Compare the syllabus: All engineering entrance exams have almost the same syllabus. There might be some additional topics in some exams. The aspirant must study the syllabus for all exams and find out the topics that are extra, and prepare those separately. Almost 90% of the topics will be common for all entrance exams, and hence, syllabus completion for one exam will lead to completion of the syllabus for all the exams.
- Prepare for JEE Mains and incorporate the preparation for all
