The JEE Advanced 2026 paper 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The paper 1 will end at 12 pm and after that candidates can take a break. For paper 2, candidates have to be seated at the exam hall by 2:30 pm. Both papers are compulsory to qualify the JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Advanced exam is held for a total of 6 hours. Paper 1 is held for three hours and the paper 2 is also held for three hours.

Candidates must keep their JEE Advanced admit card safe even after the exam is over. For any future reference that may arise, candidates might need to provide their admit card.

In case candidate have any error in the JEE Advanced admit card they must contact their zonal IIT, as mentioned on the admit card. The error must be rectified before the exam.

No, candidates have to carry the printed copy of the JEE Advanced admit card. A digital copy of the admit card on mobile phone and any other device will not be acceptable at the exam centre for verification.

It has not been official mentioned that the cabdidates have to carry a coloured print out of the JEE Advanced admit card. However, candidates can prefer carrying a coloured copy of the admit card as the detail in the colour print out is more visible/clear than a black and white print.

No, candidates have to use the same and one and only JEE Advanced admit card for both papers 1 and papers 2 of JEE Advanced exam. The admit card must be kept safe even after the exam ends.

Yes there is. candidates can check the instructions related to dress code on the JEE Advanced admit card.
Candidates should avoid wearing:
- Items containing metals
- Jwellery
- Clothes with big buttons and fancy elements
Candidates should:
- Wear simple clothing
- Wear open sandals
- Wear pants with less or no pockets
- Wear short sleeved clothes
Try to avoid anything that can hinder or delay the frisking process at the JEE Advanced exam centres.

No, you cannot. Candidates can give a certain number of preferred exam city choices while filling the JEE Advanced form. However, they cannot choose their one preferred exam centre to appear in the exam.
