Hello Ajeesh,Yes, you can definitely crack JEE exam without paying handsome amount to any coaching institute. Just keep in mind, that you practice as much as you can even on weekends, take practice test with proper measures, buy all the updated material, maintain a good score in 12th standard as well. It is the most common question found on the internet for the aspirants of JEE. But, let me tell you that you really need to practice hard and be firm in your basics even if you are trying to clear the cut-offs. First of all, make ready your study material separately for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. I would say don't even think to skip NCERT for Chemistry and Physics as you will find a couple of questions from it. Managing your time is the important factor in the examination hall. Partially. It all depends on your rank and other candidates ranks. Though, most of the people in IISER or NISER end up getting one scholarship or the other.

Hello BK Sudarshan,
If you started, then see the pattern of paper as well as the topics frequently asked from the previous papers. Students score least in physics because of numerical problems. So work hard and have a good seating practice for study daily. Learn tricks in mathematics and physics to solve the questions in similar manner and quickly. Good luck.

Tata Mc Graw Hill is a good book. Apart from that you can also refer to Algebra by SK Goal and HALL and Knight for Higher algebra.

IIT Kanpur has released the extended merit list for qualified candidates on June 14th. The authorities released the qualifying JEE Advanced 2018 cutoff along with the result on June 10th. Candidates securing a rank below the qualifying cutoff of JEE Advanced 2018 will not be considered eligible for admissions. In other words, candidates have to secure a rank above JEE Advanced 2018 cutoff to secure a seat. Candidates must note that the qualifying cutoff is not the same as the admission cutoff used at the time of JoSAA counselling.

Hi Vethika,
Yes, you will have to crack JEE advance with good marks to get admission in IITs. If you score around 50% in advance then there is a high probability that you will get an old IIT with a branch of your choice. For getting into NIT, IIIT's and other good colleges you must crack JEE Mains.

You have cleared KVPY or IISERS also admit 25% of candidates on the basis of performance in class 12 boards whose cut-off varies year to year. Generally, marks above 30/60 are enough to get admission in any IISER.
