JEE Advanced examination is yet to be conducted this year on 27 May 2019. IIT Roorkee holds the responsibility for conducting the exam in computer-based mode. Candidates who have cleared JEE Main will only be allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. So, it is too early to answer if you will get admission in IIT or NIT with 70 marks in JEE Advanced examination. It totally depends on the cut-off marks for different categories. Though generally, SC, ST, OBC students do get admissions into IIT with these marks. As per the JEE Main 2019 Eligibility Criteria which is written in the information brochure released by National Testing Agency NTA for appearing in the JEE Main examination, there is no age limit for the candidates. Candidates who have passed XII examination in 2017, 2018 or appearing in 2019 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main examination 2019. Your son can get admission in any one of the IITs if he gets qualified in JEE Advanced examination. Based on his Advanced exam rank, he will be allotted seat and stream in one of the esteemed IITs.

Yes, in this year 2019, IIT Roorkee is conducting the JEE Advanced examination on May 27 in computer-based mode. Firstly, I would suggest you to completely read the information brochure released on JEE Advanced official website. You will get complete details about the exam and how you should tackle the paper in CBT Mode. Usually, questions do not come out of syllabus for both JEE Main and Advanced. But, the questions are analytical and tricky. So, if you have understood the concepts well and practiced a variety of questions during your preparation, then you will find the paper easy. JEE Main was conducted twice this year (2019) in January and April months by National Testing Agency in computer-based mode while JEE Advanced will be conducted by IIT Roorkee on May 27, 2019. Yes, you can get admission in IITs after qualifying JEE Advanced with 72% marks as minimum qualifying marks in boards exam is 70% so you can easily get admission.

As only a month is left for the JEE Advanced exam, you should follow these preparation tips & strategies:
From now, don't study any new topic. Revise the ones you have studied. Stay updated with the latest notifications and news.
Focus on the most important topics of JEE Advanced exam. Make regular notes of the important stuff. This will help you in your last minute preparation. Solve previous years question papers and take online mock tests. This will give you an idea about the patter and difficulty level of the questions. Learn all the important formulas.
