Hello AJ, it's very nice to hear that you have cleared JEE Mains with 81 percentile. This in itself is an indication that you have understood the concepts of the subjects for which you appeared for this exam. In JEE advanced the questions are invariably unique and unless the student is well versed with the logic and the concept of the subject it staff to answer any question. The best way to prepare for JEE advanced is to go through the subject and think it in the mind if you have understood the concept of that topic or chapter or that particular segment of the syllabus. Hey
I believe there would not be any sort of problem that could possibly arise because of your father's name not being on your aadhar card. The security officers usually check your aadhar card to veriify your name, date of birth and photograph to make sure you're the person appearing for such a huge exam and not a proxy. So you don't need to worry. All the best for your exam.

Number of attempts: Candidates can attempt JEE (Advanced) up to two times within two consecutive years. Those attempting JEE Advanced 2024 for the first time can also sit for JEE Advanced 2025. 4. Class XII exam appearance: Candidates who completed Class 12 in 2023 or 2024 are eligible for JEE Advanced 2024.

Yes there has been a notable surge in the number of available seats for BTech courses at IITs. In 2025, the total number of seats have been increased to 18,160. This year 400 seats have been added across the 23 IITs.
In 2024, the total number of seats available were 17,760. In 2023, the number of Btech seats in IITs were 17,385.

Admission to the BSc programme offered at IIT Mandi will be entirely entrance-based for the academic year 2024. JEE Advanced admit card 2024 will be released by the exam conducting authority on May 17 and JEE Advanced exam 2024 will be held on May 26 for IIT Mandi BSc course admission.

The JEE Advanced cutoff for a general category student is 93.2 for the year 2024. The admission cutoff is released round-wise in the form of closing ranks for all courses and categories. Those who qualify in the JEE Advanced exam are offered seats in IITs based on their course preference and JEE Advanced ranks via a common process by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
