To be eligible for JoSAA counselling in 2026, candidates must fulfil certain conditions. This includes getting a rank in either JEE Main 2026 Paper-1 or the JEE Advanced 2026 exams. Minimum grades or percentage requirements for grade 12 exams also apply. A minimum of 75% is required for general category candidates, while a minimum of 65% is required for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
Also, you can be in the top 20% based on your 12th standard. In addition, JoSAA participating institutes may have their own eligibility criteria for specific programs. Nationality requirements include Indian citizenship or meeting special criteria for foreigner

Once you appeared for 12th you will not have any chance to appear for 12th again and it is not possible
You can appear for the new Mains 2 to 3 times after 12th if you qualify in JEE Mains then only you can able to attempt the JEE advanced

If your Common Rank List (CRL) rank is within 1 Lacs and you belong to the GEN-EWS category, you are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced in terms of ranks are determined each year by the organizing body, and they usually consider candidates who are within a certain percentile cutoff of the respective categories. You can contact official to the JoSAA and nodal officer or there is awaiting certificate form you can fill and submit it for result delay.
There is result awaiting form on which it is mentioned that:
- You result is not published you are filling the awaiting form for this.
- You are taking oath that If any think found fault in result i.e. less then 75% for OBC/general and less then 65% SC/ST then you admission will cancel.
- Admission is done on your risk and no one is responsible for any issue.

Based on the available information, to be eligible for the JEE Advance exam, you need a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII board examination. If you have fewer marks, you can repeat 12th in order to be eligible for JEE Advance 2025.
