Satyam !Since you haven't scored well in JEE mains so you will not get admission in top Government institutes but don't worry there are some private institutions that are doing equally good as them, you may get admission in them by scoring a good rank in their entrance examination and thereafter getting high scholarship.some of these universities are:
1.BITS
2.Lovely Professional University
3.Symbiosis
Along with good education, these also provides good platform to boost their skills .These universities provides assured placements along with high standards of education.
best of luck !

Hi Gaurab, you have not mentioned if you have any reservation.
Therefore.I will be answering it in general sense. If you are from general category. Then you will have to try some other college. If from OBC then you might just get into DTU but the branch wouldn't be that good. But if you are from SC or.ST category then you will get what is called a mid range branch in DTU like civil engineering Etc.

If you belong to any of the reserved category, you are very soon getting into an NIT. But if you belong to general category, you may or may not get any of the NITs.

Your mains score is low, even with your reservation it will be difficult for you to secure a seat for mechanical engineering. You can look at alternate branches like ICE and Production

Considering your marks I think that you might get around 10000 to 15000 general A.I.R with which you will get Chemical, Metallurgy or Civil Branch considering your category. For information regarding last year seat allotment you might visit http://www.ccb.nic.in/WebInfo/home.aspx
