According to the JEE Main 2024 examination schedule, there will be two sessions. The first session of the NTA JEE Mains 2024 exam is scheduled from January 24 to February 1, while the second session is set to take place from April 1 to 15. The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases distinct JEE Main application forms for Session 1 and Session 2, each having its own unique application process. As part of the JEE Main registration, candidates need to fill out the application form with personal and academic details. Furthermore, they are obliged to upload scanned copies of pertinent documents and fulfill the registration fee payment to successfully complete the registration process.

Completing the JEE Main application forms for 2024 may pose challenges for students, with common issues arising in areas such as payment processing and image uploads. One prevalent problem is encountered during the payment of application fees, where candidates may face difficulties due to slow internet speed or issues with the bank server. In such cases, it is advisable for candidates to attempt the payment process again at a later time. If, despite the deduction of money, the payment status still reflects as "not paid, " candidates are instructed to wait for 24 hours before making another attempt. Should the status persist, indicating non-payment, candidates will be required to make the fee payment once more, with the previously deducted amount being refunded to their bank accounts.

The JEE Main 2024 application process has various key details. Prospective candidates must commence the application on the official JEE Main website, jeemain.nta.ac.in, exclusively through online means, allowing for up to two attempts. The application window is open twice, offering flexibility. Providing personal, academic, and contact details is essential to complete the form. The registration fee varies depending on gender and category: INR 1000 for Male unreserved/OBC/EWS, INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS, and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender. Payment can be made online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Moreover, applicants need to submit scanned documents, encompassing a passport-size photograph, a scanned signature image, and, if applicable, the Gen-EWS/PwD/OBC-NCL/SC/ST certificate.

JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria encompass various conditions for aspiring candidates. First and foremost, there is no age limit for individuals wishing to take the exam. In terms of educational qualifications, candidates must have either completed their class 12 in 2022 or 2023 or be currently enrolled and appearing in 2024 from a recognised board. Those who have passed an examination equivalent to class 12 are also eligible to apply. Candidates are permitted to appear in the exam for three consecutive years starting from the year they pass class 12. The compulsory subjects for the qualifying exam differ based on the desired course: for BTech, it includes Physics, Mathematics, and any one subject among Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational Subject; for BArch, it includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics; and for BPlan, it requires Mathematics. Notably, there is no minimum percentage requirement for appearing in the exam. However, candidates need to secure 75% marks after qualifying JEE Mains for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
