According to the examination pattern by National Testing Agency (NTA), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main has a total of 90 questions for each subject - Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 

The question paper is divided into two sections, section A  and B for each subject. Section A consist of 20 questions based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern . Followed by 10 questions in section B based on Numerical Value Based questions. Section A is compulsary, followed by Section B where candidate can choose any 5 from the respective 10 questions.

The duration of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is 75 minutes .

The question paper of JEE MAIN Entrance Examination is divided into two sections: 

• Section A consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) followed by numerical value section - B, total of 90 Questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics (30 each ) 

• section A consist of 20 Multiple Choice Questions in each subject. 

• Section B consist of 10 questions, leaving 5 for the candidates to choose and skip the other 5. 

• +4 marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 marks deducted for each wrong one. No deduction or addition happens for an unattempted question hence candidates are advised to leave the questions whose answer they are not sure about, to ensure that no negative mark hampers their scores.

The syllabus is based on topics related to mathematics, physics and chemistry subjects. This is a computer based examination centre test.

The entire application process for JEE Main exam is conducted online and applicants for JEE Main 2024 are not required to send a hard copy or  printout of their application form to the NTA office. Candidates are required to fill and submit their applications forms  through the online portal only. There is no need for any physical submission of documents to the NTA office.

NTA has closed the JEE Main exam Registration 2024 session 1. NTA JEE Mains 2024 registration last date and time was December 4 till 9 pm. JEE Main session 1 application form was available at the NTA's official website- jeemain.nta.ac.in. 

Going as per last three year trends, the estimated Round 1 cutoff for BE Computer Engineering for NMU affilaited colleges based on JEE Main scores is mentioned as follows:

• For R. C. Patel Institute of Technology it may range between 188983 and 355415.
• For G H Raisoni Institute of Business Management, Jalgaon it may range between 127611 and 269317.
• For Shri Sant Gadge Baba College of Engineering and Technology it may range between 210062 and 452795.
• For SSBT’s College of Engineering and Technology it may range between 214698 and 384693.
• For Shri7 College of Engineering it may range between 300557 and 662270.
• For J.T. Mahajan College of Engineering it may range between 394368 and 693351.

The JEE Main Application Form 2024 process involves four key steps, each crucial for successful registration. Firstly, candidates need to visit the official JEE Main Registration NTA website at jeemain.nta.ac.in and access the 2024 registration link. Once there, they should choose the "New Candidate Registration" option under JEE Mains Apply Online. Subsequently, the preferred registration mode should be selected, whether through Aadhar enrollment number, PAN, Passport, or ABC ID. After completing the registration form with necessary details and creating a chosen password, candidates should click the "submit" button. The JEE Main registration number and password will then be sent to the registered mobile phone and email ID. Logging in with these details, applicants must fill in all required information in the application form, followed by scanning and uploading necessary documents and photographs. The final step entails payment of the JEE Main fees for 2024, which can be done through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
