First of all, I Congratulate you for getting a good rank in JEE Mains. In the previous 3-4 Years cutoff for JoSAA Round 6, the closing for EE in NIT-KKR was between 5k-6k OBC Rank. But Hold on!
There is another counselling after JoSAA which is known as CSAB Special Round Counselling. And here in the 1st CSAB Round itself the cutoff for EE in NIT-KKR is around OBC Rank 27k which shows that you can easily get EE in NIT-KKR if you are enrolled for CSAB Councelling. Leave EE, you can easily get CSE in NIT-KKR if you have registered for CSAB Counselling. Good Luck for your Counselling!

First of all, I Congratulate you for getting a good rank in JEE Mains. As you live in Goa, a good option for you is by grabbing the benifit of Home State Quota in NIT Goa. You can get a very good branch like ECE or EEE in NIT Goa if you have opted for it. So there is a possibility of getting CSE Branch in lower NITs only. You can easily get these branches in CSAB Special Rounds if you have missed these branches in JoSAA Councelling.
Whereas getting CSE Branch might be slightly difficult but still you have a chance of getting CSE in moderate NITs only in CSAB Special Rounds provided there are vacant seats still remaining in CSE Branches

Dear Aspirant, CU is good as per the review of few of my friends from CU. But you can also review SRM, Lovely Professional University, VIT etc. For curriculum, academics, faculty and placements. Being analumini of LPU I would strongly recommend it especially when it comes to B.Tech. LPU is one of the best universities as they have a robust curriculum and competitive edge through various specializations and hons programmes along with industrial tie ups nationally and internationally (like Google, Microsoft, Comptia, Xebia etc. ). Studying at LPU no doubt gives you a wild card entry to the industry. You will get many opportunities like,

Yes, mostof the colleges have JEE Mains compulsory as eligibility criteria. However UGC recognised, one of the top provate institutes Lovely Professional University has their own internal exam similar to JEE Mains called LPU NEST. If you have not appeared for JEE you can qualify LPU NEST for admission in B.Tech. LPU has gained its name and trust among the students owing to its quality education, certifications and placements. As per my information last year the highest package for CSE went upto approximately. 63 Lacs for LPU student. As an alumni of LPU I can guide you that LPU is one of the best universities as they have a robust curr

No, 128 marks in JEE Mains aren't sufficient to get good NIY, IIIT or engineering colleges in India.

You would require a minimum of 97 to 98 percentile to get admission in B.Tech programme in HBTU, Kanpur. The cutoff rank for CSE is around 21,000 which would be approximately. 97.5 percentile. The last ranks for other core branches are EE - 31,000; ME - 29,000; CE - 35,000 etc.

If you want to get into NIT Trichy and if you are not worried about the department, your rank has to be below AIR 20000. In 2018, scoring 145 or more in JEE Mains would put you in this position. Here are the department specific score requirements (Data from 2018 results), Computer Science & Engineering AIR 4900 - l210 or more in JEE
Electronics & Communications Engineering AIR 6900 200 or more in JEE
Electrical & Electronics Engineering AIR 9000 185 or more in JEE
Mechanical Engineering AIR 11000 170 or more in JEE
Instrumentation and Control Engineering AIR 14000 160 or more in JEE
Chemical Engineering AIR 17900 155 or more in JEE

Selecting a college depends on a lot of factors. Placements
Faculty
Infrastructure
College life
Past achievements
Ranking and Reputation etc. Based on these IIIT Gwalior is definitely a better option than the new IIITs and it is considered one of the top IIITs in India. You should consider the upgrades and downgrades resulting from the switch, but I assure you IIIT Gwalior will not disappoint you.

Yes, it does provide admission based on your score in JEE mains. In fact, you can also avail scholarship based on the score. If you have 90 percentile and above you are also exempted from giving LPU NEST exam and eligible for scholarship too.
